What is a One Stop Shop?
A One Stop Shop is a provider, such as Insulex, who is registered and approved by the SEAI to offer homeowners all the services required for complete home energy upgrades under the ‘One Stop Shop Grant’ service.

Home Energy Upgrades refer specifically to improvements that can be made to existing homes to increase energy efficiency, reduce heating costs, reduce carbon emissions, introduce renewable energy sources where possible, and improve the overall comfort level and home life for homeowners.
Energy Upgrade measures can include:
- Insulation
- Ventilation
- Underfloor heating
- Windows and doors upgrade
- Installing new Heating Systems
- Upgrading Heating controls
- Installing ‘Air to Water Heat Pumps
- Installing solar PV panels
The One Stop Shop Service is aimed at very specific types of homes, particularly homes that are …
- Built before 2011
- Homes ready to undertake a comprehensive suite of works (ie) homes requiring multiple energy upgrades all at once
- Homes capable of achieving a final BER rating of B2 or better, post works, as stipulated by SEAI requirements
- Homes capable of achieving the required energy value improvements.
BER reduction in energy use of 100kWh/m2/year (BER = Building Energy Rating)
Why is the One Stop Shop Grant aimed at specific property types?
The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) is providing significant financial assistance to homeowners to support comprehensive home energy upgrades. However, in order to be eligible for these grants, specific criteria must be met, including fulfilling predetermined post-work results and achieving measurable energy efficiency improvements.
Grants offered are provided by the Government of Ireland through the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI).
