Dear Homeowner …

When it comes to your home, have you ever felt …

Fed up of living in a cold house?
Wished you had an energy-efficient home that was easy to heat?
Wished you could reduce your heating bills?
Wished you could stop worrying about how much your fuel bills will be for the Winter ahead?

ALL That Can Change Today & We Can Help You

The National Retrofit Scheme is a government grant scheme designed to upgrade 5,000 homes per year towards achieving their climate action plan targets. The objective of the scheme is to upgrade groups of homes under this scheme in accordance with Part L of the Building Regulations 2019.

This ensures when a major renovation is completed, a minimum of B2 BER rating is achieved, with up to 35% funding towards the completion of approved measures. * (First come, first allocated basis, so make sure you find out if you qualify as soon as possible) *

This scheme is to facilitate high standards of energy efficiency, the use of renewable energy sources and to deliver this scheme in a group approach to facilitate energy improvements in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

So, what does that mean for you the homeowner?

Well, it basically means that you, the homeowner, cannot apply directly as an individual for this Retrofit Grant, however, you can apply through a professional Retrofit provider, such as Insulex. This is a simple 2-step process outlined below.

How To Apply for The National Retrofit Grant Scheme?

Step 1 – We need to chat with you and ask you a few simple questions to determine if your home is suited to this particular Retrofit Grant scheme. Factors such as the year your home was built is a consideration. Once you enter your details in the form below, our grants advisor will call you back and talk you through the process, along with the questions to determine if your house is suited to this retrofit grant.

STEP 2 – If your home is suitable, we will then need to arrange a professional survey of your home. This is a technical assessment by a professional and is a pre-requisite for the grant application, as outlined by the SEAI National Home Retrofit Scheme.

What can the National Retrofit Grant Scheme be used for?

The Retrofit Grant scheme proves a ‘fabric first approach, which means the funding will be granted for energy upgrades such as:

    • Insulation
    • Roof upgrades
    • Floors – underfloor heating
    • Window and Door upgrades
    • Energy Efficient Heating Pumps
    • Ventilation systems
    • PV Panels
    • Solar Water Panels

(* As the desired outcome is a minimum B2 BER, the ideal homes for this scheme would have a current low energy rating.)
