The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) provides several grant options to enable homeowners to secure funding for implementing energy-efficient home upgrades. While there are several approaches to planning and executing energy upgrades, there are two main grant options for homeowners to consider. (Grant value table at the end of this page)
The One Stop Shop Grant is aimed at specific house types, particularly homes built before 2011. It suits homeowners who are ready and who can afford to undertake a considerable number of energy upgrade measures all at once.
As the One Stop Shop involves a suite of works, the process can be disruptive, especially if you are currently living in the house and there is a considerable investment required. However, the One Stop Shop route offers a wider range of grants and offers you the unique opportunity to completely upgrade your home all at once.
It is important to note, there are very clear objectives and specific energy value improvements required by the SEAI to qualify for the One Stop Shop grant, so this option may not suit everyone. For this reason, the SEAI offers individual grant options as described below.

If the One Stop Shop option isn’t right for you, or it is not possible to achieve the required energy value improvements in your home, the SEAI also offers grants for individual measures.
These individual upgrade grants are available for measures such as attic insulation, heat pumps, and Solar PV, to mention a few. (read more here)
So you can upgrade your home one measure at a time, to suit your timeframe and your budget. Grant amounts for individual measures can be viewed on the SEAI website.
